Post 17+ workouts to the private Facebook group, "Fitness Journey Challenge".
Get paid when you achieve the challenge by splitting the pot with some other nice people that did the same.
Theoretically speaking, if there are 100 people, each paying $10 to be part of the challenge, the pot would be $1,000 (100 x $10). If 50 people meet the requirement of posting 17+ workouts, they would receive a $20 reward! The amount of your payout is never guaranteed and is based on how many people successfully complete the challenge.
There's always hope!
You can donate extra money each month that goes towards a gift card giveaway. You can give any amount. To win the gift card, anyone who is in the “Fitness Journey Challenge” Facebook group that posts at least 5 workouts is eligible to have their name placed one time on a prize wheel that will randomly pick a winner! You DO NOT have to be part of the paid challenge to be eligible to win a gift card.
Your hosts, Michael & Deborah Tew, will need a friend request on Facebook in order to add you to the private group page. Do that here.

Anyone, any age, any fitness ability. Anyone 18 and under needs to have a parent or guardian with a paid membership as well.
Except babies, babies shouldn't workout.
Any workout that is 20+ minutes or two 10+ minute workouts or if you hit 10,000 steps in a day. A workout can be anything from a simple walk to an intense 5K run. It could be your favorite YouTube workout, your own workout plan, something from your Peloton or iFit, something on your at-home equipment like a treadmill, elliptical, weight bench; really anything as long as it is sustained activity. Only one workout a day will count towards your challenge. If you workout multiple times during the day, we encourage you to post all your workouts in one post at the end of the day.
Since the point of this group is to encourage consistency with fitness, we cannot count certain activities. Example, while shopping might include walking and a lot of steps, but we cannot count that activity. We can include yard and landscape work because that includes squats and other workout-style movements. If you are wondering if your activity will count, just ask.
Any day that you get 10,000+ steps, that can count as your workout.
Yes, the hosts, Michael and Deborah Tew keep 10% of what is paid back. This takes care of payment processing, running the website and the time it takes to keep track of everything.
Your choice!

A lot of this is based on the honor system. A screenshot from your favorite fitness tracker or app is the best way. It could be a picture of the screen of your FitBit or Apple Watch or a screenshot from your workout within the app. MapMyRun or MapMyWalk is also another great app that is 100% free. If you don’t have a fitness tracker or anything like that, you can even use a timer on your phone or even a kitchen timer. We can get creative, so please email me if you have any questions or concerns about this.
We also need to see your selfie of you either right before, during or after your workout. It’s really motivating to see that most everyone ugly sweats! If you’re not really into selfies, you can reduce that amount to one a week. This is a fitness community, so it’s great seeing your face. We also have to make sure everyone is “real”, since this is largely based on Facebook.
Each day you complete a qualifying workout you’ll come to this Facebook group home page, and post your selfie and workout info.
Each post should contain the following:
“Number for that day's Workout” (this is not the number workouts you did today, this is your number of workouts this month, as in, your 4th workout of the month on Jan. 9th would be typed out as, #4, 1/9/2022)
“Date workout was completed”
“What you type of workout you did”
Example:
“#1 - 1/1/2022 - jogged around the neighborhood”

Your selfie of you performing or completing the workout can be taken before, during or after your workout.
You might want to pin the group page to the top of your list of groups, especially if you are a member of lots of different groups on Facebook.
That’s okay, just make a post with all the information when you get a chance. I find it hard to keep up with all the information if I forget on multiple days, but you can definitely post it later and get credit.
It’s okay to skip the selfie, but I find it easier to “feel” a part of the community when I see all of the selfies associated with everyone’s post.
Yes, I find it really interesting to ask other people how they got successful at a particular activity. You might ask someone how they improved their average pace while running. What’s it like to run a marathon? What kind of at-home gym equipment do you like? Etc., etc., etc.
You’re NOT allowed to sell anything, repost spam, be sexually suggestive, post opinions regarding politics or religion, or make derogatory posts or speak negatively towards another person in the group.
